Gärna Art Gallery is pleased to present the upcoming exhibition “Alors on danse”, a group show by 10 international artists that will be on view from the 10th of October.

The exhibition is an ode to finding joy in life and overcome obstacles, urging us to keep dancing amidst the trials and tribulations of life.

Wielding a broad knowledge of art history, literature, music, and popular culture, the artists create images and forms in which divergent references collide and playfully coexist. The pictorial works of the artists involved explore the language of the body and the forms of movement, each in a different way and sometimes with symbolic references.
Away from canonical patterns from specific movements, schools, generations or styles, the selected artists establish relationships through diverse elements.

There is not a dominant component, aesthetically or form wise, that brings together all artists, but a multiplicity of senses that articulates an eclectic, heterogeneous and unique proposal. Juxtaposing a diverse range of approaches to contemporary art, the exhibition brings together works by three generations of artists.

Participating artists include Gijs Van Lith, Paul du Bois-Reymond, Eduardo Millán, Eloy Arribas, Cesc Abad, Marc Badia, Frans Franciscus, Aldo van den Broek, Johnny Mae Hauser and Virginia Paradise.

“Alors on danse” conveys a sense of nostalgia and the joy of embracing life´s moments through dancing.
